The reality of police operations has changed drastically in recent years.

The new ZENTURIO VPAM6 offers its wearers real protection not only against, but also against rifles (VPAM6) “stand-alone” – i.e. without an extra protective shield.

Previous Zenturio C1300 and C1300H helmets protected against small arms fire, but not against rifles! This could be retrofitted with a 500g forehead shield in the main attack area, the forehead.

This technological milestone is now ready for series production and represents a technological breakthrough.
The ZENTURIO VPAM6 unlocks up a new era of ballistic protective helmets with real protection against rifles at almost the same weight but with triple the protection due to the massively higher energy of the projectile (VPAM 3 = 689 joules→ VPAM 6 = 2074 joules). Laboratory tests show that the projectile remains below the limit value of 25 joules at full speed on impact with the helmet dome, thus preventing life-threatening craniocerebral trauma to the helmet wearer.

This makes the ULBRICHTS ZENTURIO VPAM 6 a stand-alone rifle helmet, which is the only helmet in its weight class on the market that effectively protects its wearer against rifles all around without additional shields. This means not only stopping these high-energy projectiles but also avoiding fatal trauma.

ULBRICHTS Protection is constantly working on optimizing the protection and weight of its ballistic helmets. Like the OPTIO, the new ZENTURIO generation of ULBRICHTS helmets will no longer require screws on the helmet dome. This saves weight and increases the effective protective surface by 20 to 30 percent. Screws and the holes required for them are a known weak point of the helmet shell
The more screws that can be avoided, the larger the effective protection surface.
In addition, screws can become a secondary projectile when fired at and can therefore pose a lethal risk to the helmet wearer. Screws no longer belong on a ballistic protective helmet, at the latest after the introduction of rifle protection.
